artistic research

I work in the field of artistic research (also called practice as research in the arts / arts based research / research based practices in the arts). In other words, I stubbornly defy the hierarchical dichotomies of practice / theory, art / academia, body / mind, action / reflection, as well as the divide between object / subject in research processes. The sensing body, reflection in action, reflection after action, and play are my basic tools. Lecture performances and texts are my most common research outputs.
