Improvisation as Art in Bern
with Susanne Martin (Berlin)
for people with some experience in dance impro or CI
We activate our physical and creative elasticity with partner and group exercises (with and without touch). In the solo work we concentrate on the ability to generate dance from our own perceptive body. In duets, trios, groups, the aim is to be inspired and transformed by each other. We practice sharing our improvisations with an audience and giving each other constructive feedback. This way of working touches on questions of performance, presence and composition and promotes clarity, security, openness in the (lifelong) practice of improvisation as an art form.

Susanne Martin is a Berlin-based choreographer, performer, researcher, and teacher of improvisation based contemporary dance. She presents her work internationally in solo performances and collaborative stage works. www.susannemartin.de
